What is ParentSquare?
ParentSquare is an all-in-one platform designed to streamline all school-to-home communication. It combines posts, announcements, class messaging, forms, newsletters, and attendance notifications into a single, easy-to-use interface. By consolidating our communication tools, ParentSquare makes it simple for families to stay informed and engaged, while making it easier for staff to reach parents securely and efficiently.
PARENT & GUARDIAN QUICK-START GUIDE
Staying connected is easy! Joining groups on ParentSquare ensures you receive updates, practice schedules, volunteer sign-ups, and messages directly from coaches, teachers, and club advisors.
1. Download the ParentSquare App & Log In
Getting started takes less than two minutes on your smartphone or computer:
Download the free ParentSquare app from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
Open the app and enter the Email Address or Cell Phone Number registered with your school district.
Follow the on-screen prompt to set up your password and log in.
Note: You can also access ParentSquare on any computer web browser by visiting parentsquare.com.
2. How to Join a Public or Open Group
Many school clubs, PTA/PTO committees, and booster clubs are open for parents to browse and join voluntarily:
Using the Mobile App
Tap the More menu icon (three lines/dots) at the bottom corner.
Select Groups from the menu.
Browse the list of available public groups under Explore Groups.
Tap Join next to the group you want to participate in.
Using a Computer (Website)
In the left sidebar, click Participate → Groups.
Look under Groups You Can Join.
Click Join next to the sports team, club, or committee name.
3. Joining via Invitation Link or QR Code
For private athletic teams, specialized clubs, or classroom groups, your coach or teacher may send you a direct link or QR code:
If you receive a Link (via Email or Text): Tap or click the link. If logged in, you will automatically be added to the group roster.
If you receive a QR Code (on a flyer or meeting slide): Open your phone's camera app, scan the QR code, and tap the link to open ParentSquare and confirm joining.
4. Need Help or Don't See Your Group?
Private & Roster-Based Groups: Some sports teams and academic rosters are marked "Private". If your student is on a team but you don't see the group in ParentSquare, the coach or advisor simply needs to add your student to the roster.
Need Assistance? Contact your school's main office or reach out directly to the coach/club advisor to ensure your email/phone is linked to your student in the school directory.
